Vertebrate

Vertebrates are chordates with an endoskeleton (made out of either bone or cartilage) based around its spinal cord. They have larger, more advanced and complex bodies than equivalent invertebrates, and are generally considered more considered intelligent for this fact. This is true in most cases, though some exceptions still exist within the group.
