Insects are mostly small, with the largest individuals only reaching around 15cm in length. They have six limbs as adults, in addition to an exoskeleton for protection.
Feeding[]
The feeding habits of insects vary considerably between the classis. There are carnivorous, herbivorous and nectarivorous species, in addition to a surprisingly large number of hematophagous species as well. Some are parasites.
